As some of you might know, I am part of the German Stage Group Ikimashô for about one year now. This weekend we're finally having the first performance of "Ace Attorneys: Shadow Trials", based of the Saiban Gyakuten Series.

I'd be happy to see some of my German watchers in the audience this sunday, 10:30 a.m. at the Mega Manga Convention in Berlin. As for the rest, just keep an eye on our YouTube channel. We will upload a subbed english version of our performance there as soon as we can :)

Until then, have some gif randomness :D

Updates 2013

3 min read
With my last journal entries always lasting for almost a year before being updated and cosplay plans being overthrown again and again, I thought it would be better to just give you a overview of what's planned for the whole year of 2013.

Let's start right away with my recent cosplays:

Phoenix Wright from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is a stage outfit for the showgroup 'Ikimashô' which I recently joined. Although the character doesn't quite fit my appearance, I thought I'd upload a few pics just for promotion purposes ;P the stage play will debut by the end of this year and if you're interested I'll be sure to post a youtube link of the whole performance here when it's uploaded.
Lucky Luke was my second cosplay for this year's Lepzig Bookfair. Since it's based off a series of comics mainly published in Europe I figure it's a character widely unknown to other countries. Perhaps some of you might still recognize the lonesome cowboy ;)

Without further ado onto the cosplays planned for the rest of the year:

Raziel / Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - probably the cosplay I'm looking most forward to this year, since I finally get to cosplay something really monster'ish and creepy, plus the costume is really fun to make :D (which means I'm already on it)
Sephiroth overhaul - didn't find the time to do it last year. This year however it's pretty sure since I already found a group to cosplay Crisis Core with.
Booker DeWitt / Bioshock Infinite - a pretty comfy cosplay and many people think I resemble him, so let's give it a try :D
Corvo / Dishonored - the mask and props will be a real challenge, but I hope to be able to finish it this year
Alucard w. guns / blood / long hair? - this year I intend to do another Hellsing shooting. If everything works out in terms of cosplay partners and photographers, this one will definitely be on the list.

So much for now. I'll be back with another journal entry by the end of the year (when the stage play is online). Until then I'll keep you updated with new photos as soon as a cosplay is finished.

Also feel free to write me a Note if you wanna contact me or have questions.

I just got featured by Eidos Montreal in their community blog. You might understand how surprised I was when they contacted me. I never would have thought a game developer would care so much about cosplayers. In such cases however it's always nice to be proven wrong :D
Click the following link for some pictures and a detailed interview. I'm talking quite a lot on how the armor was done and show some closeup pictures, so you might wanna check it out.

In case you have a Deus Ex cosplay yourself, now is the chance to send it to their community blog. They are actively searching for other Deus Ex cosplayers to feature them in their blog. Just visit one of the links just below the interview.

Good luck :)

(btw, the convention's over and I'll be reporting in with some pictures from it soon. Sorry about not being that active in the past months - I also didn't get to answer many comments. In case you have a specific question, write me a note, I always answer these.)

It's been some time since I wrote the last entry, but the final conventions this year are coming closer and it's about time to think what to cosplay.

Saying it like this will however give you the wrong idea, since it's already pretty much clear what I'm cosplaying. The big question is rather 'how'.

Let me first make it a little more clear which cosplays I'm talking about:
I finally found the willpower to redo parts my Sephiroth cosplay. It's still one of my favourite cosplays, however I feel like in the past I wasn't quite able to give it the quality it deserves. In the past months, I made a lot of progress in terms of propmaking, using modeling mass and stuff like that. By now I might be able to pull it off the way I want and finally get a result I'm feeling comfortable with.

Now as for the 'how': what would you rather see? An improved 'normal' version, or the Dissidia / Amano one? While the last one tempts me much more, it would mean using my 'normal version' cosplay as a base to save money and - more im importantly - time. So if I really do the Dissidia version, the normal one will never be done again.

As for the second cosplay, I agreed to join a Batman group on Saturday. It's not yet clear who I'll be doing, however chances are good it will be Joker. Now tell me, which version do you prefer or see me most fit in? Any movie version? Or would it rather be a version from the comics or games?

You might have noticed I'm making it easy for myself again, asking for your opinions ;) I hope you don't mind helping me out once again. Thanks in advance to all those who take the time to help me on that matter, and sorry in advance if I don't reply to every comment. Real life really has a strong grasp on me at the moment :(
